Horizon VDI MFA Setup Instructions
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required to access the Horizon Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure system (VDI).
IMPORTANT NOTE! You have to set up MFA with BOTH Microsoft AND the current campus
MFA system.
STEP 1 OF 2: (Microsoft MFA Settings - Entra)
**Skip Step 2 if you already have existing MFA setup with your campus account**
- Log in at https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info (Microsoft Security Info)
- Choose +Add sign-in method (We recommend to add multiple methods.)
- Select a method.
- Go through verification of chosen method.
- Go back to https://vmview.sbcc.edu
Codes should now be sent to your chosen MFA method.
STEP 2 OF 2: (Campus Account MFA - PortalGuard)
- Log in at https://auth.sbcc.edu (2FA Account Management)
- Choose "Registered Email Address" and/or "Registered Phones" (We recommend to add multiple methods.)
- Add your personal email and/or phone.
- Enter the code it sends to verify it.
- Refresh the Account Management page to confirm your phone number has been registered.
- Go back to https://vmview.sbcc.edu
Codes should now be sent to your chosen 2FA method (phone or personal email)
